It is also important that a qualified leader show passion for the work they do. If you don’t appear to have a commitment to the product or service you will fall flat in the inspiration department. You need to care about what you’re doing to convince your staff to care as well.

Stay Committed

To that end, it is also important that you are committed to the work you’re doing. Without the example of your commitment it will be far too easy for your staff to lost interest as well. If you appear to be disinterested in what is happening or don’t participate in the business in general, they will notice.

Take Responsibility

Finally, a good leader is always willing to take responsibility for their actions, good or bad. This also means giving proper credit when others are responsible for your success. It is okay to make mistakes, even when you’re the example, but what you do about them after the fact is the most important part.
